Kean's Store Company is an old fashioned variety store located in the heart of downtown Mason. Spanning a whole block, this mid-Michigan destination store has been serving the community since 1928. For over 90 years, Kean's has been providing their customers with a unique shopping experience, nostalgic feel, and trendy new gifts.
It all started over 90 years ago...
In 1928, Gus Kean and his wife Fern opened Kean’s 5 cent to 1 dollar store. Gus doubled the floor space in 1935. Then again in 1963 doubling space again to 4,500 square feet . . .
